School names: Mishicot Graded School, District School #1, Rockway School (named after Rockway, Alfred's son, Daniel's grandson) Mishicot River is now the East Twin River LaFayette Smith, another of Dan's sons (1835-1906) fought in the Civial War for 3 years, wounded, resided at King Veterans Home in Waupaca Daniel Smith (1801-1858): Family: 3 sons, 6 daughters, Daniel's wife Elizabeth died 1883; 2 sons, 2 daughters, Daniel and Elizabeth buried in Village of Mishicot cemetery at top of the hill |
